HOWDY PARTNERS!
Join your fellow parishioners at the 1st Annual St. Luke's Hootenanny/Chili cook-off on Thursday, September 19, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Bring your drinks, dancing shoes, and an appetite for pizza, chili, salad, cornbread, and ice cream.
Thanks to Ashley and Nate, Leah DePaul, Mary Parsons, Greg Murray, Manuel Clayton, Shauna Schmunk, Elizabeth Fetter, Harriet Stephens, Mark and Janet van Hartesvelt, Linda Dugins, and Dyan Pignatelli for their generous contributions.
Chili Contestants: Bring any toppings necessary to enhance your chili, along with a ladle. Voting will take place during the evening, and a certified public accountant will carefully monitor voting. A prize for the winner will be awarded at 7:30 PM. Voter fraud will not be tolerated (not that anyone at St Luke's would ever consider stuffing the ballot box). May the best cowboy or cowgirl win! Yippee Ki Yay!
Pizza is available for the little whippersnappers who might not enjoy chili.
We welcome additional pots of chili. Please bring your chili ready to serve in a crock pot.
Ice-cold beer will be provided, but please bring your own wine.
Hey there! Beckie, our parish administrator, will be available at this event to answer any questions you have about your giving. So that you know, she is the only person with access to your Estimate of Giving and any contributions you make. She will have printouts of your 2024 giving through August available at the event.
CAN YOU FEEL IT?!
This fall, you are all invited to honor our St. Luke's community and celebrate our first year with Reverend Ashley. At our first Annual Hootenanny, you will have the opportunity to move forward with your estimated giving for 2025, which will support St. Luke's budget for the new year.
CAN YOU FEEL IT?!
There is so much happening, and we hope you can feel the good energy in our Sunday services, the Park City community, our fellowship, and our youth groups!!! The Holy Spirit is with us, present, active, and opening our eyes to our many spiritual blessings.
Our estimated giving pledges totaled $319,000 in 2024. Thank you, St Luke's, for that support!
For 2025, our estimated giving pledge goal is $340,000. Our church is facing the same increases that we are all feeling in our daily lives. We hope to fund a 2.5% COLA (cost of living allowance) increase for Ashley and our staff. We have included an increased housing allowance for Reverend Ashley now that she is settled in Park City. We also need to fund the ever-increasing expenses related to our utilities, insurance, supplies, and the maintenance of both church buildings and their grounds. From a spiritual perspective, St. Luke's will continue to focus on caring for our church family, community outreach, worship, and education. Please prayerfully consider your giving, with a possible increase for 2025, to support St. Luke's in our ongoing good work!
Each and every gift counts! Join us on September 19 for a night of fun and fellowship, with an opportunity to complete an estimated giving card for 2025.
Come join us to feel the St. Luke's "Hootenanny Love" on Sept. 19 at 6 PM!!!!!
